Weave Coworking, Wigan
Weave Coworking is a new flexible workspace concept designed to support modern working patterns and drive local economic growth in Wigan. Located within the Cotton Works development, Weave offers a mix of hot desks, dedicated desks, private offices, meeting rooms, and event space, all set within a beautifully designed industrial interior that reflects the site's heritage
The Three Mills, Wigan
The Three Mills Beer & Ale House is the first permanent opening within the £250m Cotton Works masterplan, a landmark regeneration project transforming Wigan’s iconic Eckersley Mill. Set across 4,500 sq ft in the Grade II listed building, the venue reimagines the traditional pub with a modern twist, featuring a 14-line tap wall, rotating cask ales, and a nostalgic, quality-led food menu.
Revolution Market
Working in partnership with leading real estate consultancy And London, Next Phase was engaged by Landsec to reimagine and reposition a declining retail and hospitality space. The result was Revolution Market, a bold new concept centred around a food hall-led experience, designed to reignite foot traffic and reestablish the site as a dynamic, multi-use destination.
Tower Street, Ipswich
Tower Street Food Hall brings a bold new energy to the centre of Ipswich. Located in the former Yates Wine Bar, this ambitious transformation will deliver a vibrant, independent-led food hall, a welcoming social space at the heart of the town’s cultural and culinary revival.
House of Social, Manchester
House of Social is the student house, reimagined. Designed specifically for second- and third-year students with established friendship groups, each ‘House’ centres around a spacious open-plan kitchen and lounge, a welcoming space for socialising, sharing meals, and creating memories. Large ensuite bedrooms sit on either side, offering the perfect balance of privacy and community.
The Cotton Works, Wigan
The Cotton Works is the largest undeveloped brownfield site outside London. The Heaton Group’s masterplan will transform it into a vibrant new urban neighbourhood for Wigan, a place to live, work, trade, shop, eat, and socialise. The development will celebrate the town’s industrial heritage by restoring and reimagining its Grade II listed mill buildings, while introducing high-quality new homes, hotels, leisure destinations, and landscaped public spaces.
Freshney Place Market, Grimsby
Next Phase are continuing to support Queensbury and North East Lincolnshire Council with the emerging design for Freshney Place Market, including commentary on space allocation and operational planning to ensure the delivered scheme meets the aspirations of the project and the community.
Newton Abbot Market Hall - Management Options
Next Phase was commissioned to conduct a detailed assessment of potential management options for Newton Abbot Market Hall. Our work included a comprehensive review of each model, with SWOT analyses tailored to the Council’s context and case studies of markets successfully implementing similar approaches.
County Durham Market Review
Next Phase was engaged by Durham County Council to conduct an independent review of County Durham’s diverse market offering, spanning eight markets across the county.
Rotherham Market
Next Phase has been appointed by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to support the transformation of Rotherham Market, a key anchor and a vital employer in the town centre. Despite its prominent role, the market faces challenges, including an ageing building, limited infrastructure, and decreasing numbers of both traders and visitors. These issues underscore the need for a comprehensive approach to secure the market’s future and enhance its contribution to the town’s economic vitality.
Great Sankey Station
Next Phase are supporting Sankey Station Community Association who are in the process of securing the vacant Great Sankey Station building through a community asset transfer. Next Phase has produced and launched social media campaigns to generate expression of interest lists for small business occupiers of the space to support planning and decision-making.
Market Peckham
Next Phase are supporting Market, Peckham to undertake a branding and operational review of their ground floor food hall, identifying growth opportunities and supporting the operators to implement technological solutions and drive efficiencies.
Royal Arcade, Boscombe
Next Phase have been working with Montagu Evans to undertake market testing for operators and small business occupiers for the Royal Arcade in Boscombe, Bournemouth.
Feast at the Mills
Feast at the Mills is a compelling example of creating a meanwhile venue in an area without a history of hospitality. In the heart of Wigan, a town facing economic challenges, this initiative has become a shining success, attracting over 2,000 guests weekly despite challenging weather.

Hayden and Emma worked with Muse and Bury Council to develop the concept, design, business case planning, and future operational model of the proposed market hall as part of ambitious plans to transform Prestwich through the delivery of its masterplan.

Sessions are revolutionising the casual dining industry, creating a 'food-licensing' concept that combines bricks and mortar food halls with a licensing model whereby Sessions develop brands and roll them out in multiple locations.

Msheireb Downtown District
Msheireb is a $5bn mega-development in the heart of Doha, Qatar. Over two years, Simon Anderson consulted on all aspects of hospitality and food hall strategy for the project. The project entailed developing concepts, engaging with prominent international brands, and holding workshops and training for staff and tenants.

The Old Dairy, Iceland
Selfoss, a town around an hour from Reykjavik, created an entirely new town centre with homes, hotels, and shops to attract the island’s tourists en route to visit the famous golden circle of attractions. The Old Dairy is a culinary destination showcasing the best of the country’s food and produce. Simon Anderson consulted on the design, construction, and operations. The project has proven to be a huge success.

Ballerz
Ballerz is an exciting, experience-led football concept set to launch in Spring 2024. Founded by legends Rio Ferdinand, Mark Noble, and Bobby Zamora, it will be housed in a custom-made air dome. This pioneering concept combines competitive socialising with fitness, offering a range of activities from "elite training sessions" to live sports events, complemented by bars, arcades, and skills zones. Simon Anderson worked on the concept development, operational structure and branding of Ballerz alongside the founding team.

Working with Muse and St Helens Council, Hayden led on the design development for a new market hall in the town centre. His work involved optimising the tenant mix to create a modern market offer that would be financially and commercially viable wile delivering wider social benefits in line with the masterplan goals.
